Hannah Dartez, DVM
Dr. Dartez was born and raised in Jefferson Davis Parish. She attended McNeese State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 2019. She then achieved a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Dr. Dartez started out as a kennel tech at Fontenot Animal Hospital in 2015 and has worked here ever since, working part time while earning her bachelor’s degree. During veterinary school, she returned during vacations and internships to sharpen her skills.
Dr. Dartez’s special interests in veterinary medicine include Internal medicine, diabetes, and Cushing’s Disease. She is a member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. Giving back to her community is important to Dr Dartez, and so she works closely with the Jennings animal shelter providing medical care for abandoned and surrendered shelter animals.
When she is not working at the hospital, Dr. Dartez spends a lot of time with her sister and her mom. She has recently become engaged to her high school sweetheart, Josh Guidry. Dr. Dartez has three pets, Luna, a rat terrier, and cats Talia and Merlin. All of her pets are animals who were found and needed homes. She loves to be with her animals and with Josh, and she loves to go have coffee with her friends. In her spare time, Dr. Dartez really enjoys binge watching TV series, especially medical shows.
